Uniden CMX760 40-Channel Off-Road CB Radio keeps you connected to other vehicles on the open road

This CB Radio is powerful and durable, with simple access mic controls for great sound. The huge color display makes it considerably easier to use in the evenings or in gloomy places.

Great Sound

Your Uniden CMX760 is the best communications equipment available for use in the Citizens Band Radio Service. It will operate on any of the Federal Communications Commission's 40 AM frequencies - FCC.

The CMX760 is intended to give years of trouble-free service.

Uniden CMX760 40-Channel Off-Road CB Radio's small design allows it to easily slip beneath the seat, freeing up space in the vehicle's cabin. Uniden Bearcat CMX760 remote mount ultra compact 40 channel off road is professional CB radio with weather + alert, scan, local/dx, ch 9/19.

Its tough components and materials can survive hostile situations. The CMX760 can be installed on top of or beneath a flat surface, such as a dashboard, or beneath the driver's seat in a vehicle. Choose a location that allows you to operate the radio while not interfering with the driver or passenger.

The power lead should be connected to the Ignition Switch Accessory Terminal, according to Uniden. When the ignition switch is switched off, the radio is automatically shut off. As an alternative, connect the power cord to an available terminal on the fuse block or a location in the wiring harness. However, extreme caution is required to avoid a short circuit.

The CMX760 can be powered by a 12VDC source.

This radio is compatible with any 12-volt DC negative ground system car. The negative (-) battery connection is commonly connected to the vehicle motor block in a negative ground configuration.

Connect the radio's red DC power wire to the positive (+) battery terminal or another appropriate location. The black power cord should then be connected to the vehicle chassis or the negative (-) battery terminal.

Marine Installation

It is critical to correctly ground the system and prevent electrolysis between the hull fittings and the water.

Connect Antenna

Because the FCC limits the maximum power output of the transmitter, the quality of your antenna is critical. Uniden highly advises installing only a high-quality antenna to get the greatest transmission distance. You've just bought a superior radio; don't degrade its performance by adding a subpar antenna.

Only an antenna system that is properly matched will allow maximum power transfer from the 50-ohm transmission line to the radiating element. Your Uniden dealer is qualified to assist you in selecting the best antenna for your needs. For automotive installation, a whip-style antenna might be utilized.

CAUTION: Never use your radio without an antenna or with an antenna cable that is broken. This has the potential to damage the radio. A small "loaded" whip antenna is easier to install on a car, but it is less efficient than a complete quarter-wave whip antenna.
