Fujitsu ScanSnap iX500 comes with a host of intuitive features that make scanning effortless and require little user input.

As ScanSnap iX500 automatically removes blank pages, rotates upside-down pages on screen, detects colour and will scan according to it to reduce document size, and will scan mixed size documents such as business cards and A4 without using any white space around them, they can be scanned without pre-sorting.

Reducing bleed through allows the image to be optimised and will automatically straighten any pages that are slightly off-center.

Through a wireless connection, the ScanSnap iX500 offers scanning to smart devices without the need for a host PC or notebook.

By downloading the ScanSnap Connect application from the official distribution services, you can scan, save, and distribute your documents directly to your iPad, iPhone, or Android device.

With the bundled full version of Adobe Acrobat for Windows users, searchable PDFs can be created.

Additionally, users of ABBYY FineReader for Windows or Mac can create searchable and editable Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files.

You can scan and OCR all your collected business cards with CardMinder for Windows and for Mac, then export the data to a database package.

With ScanSnap, your application does not need to have a scanner interface in order to use the scanner.

ScanSnap profiles can be created in applications that handle PDFs or JPEGs. By using the import capability of your application, you can also utilize the new ScanSnap Folder. Now you can scan directly into cloud applications!

Navigate to the ScanSnap Folder under My Computer and click the blue scan button.

Now you can import your file in your application and it will be automatically deleted from the ScanSnap Folder!
