Using the Spoeb10xx-105 10/100 Ethernet copper to fiber PoE media converter, enterprises can power existing network devices over an existing CAT5 data connection.
The Stand-alone Fast Ethernet PoE Media Converter from Transition Networks combine data received over a fiber optic link with -48 VDC power that can be used to power Data Terminal Equipment (DTE) Power Devices (PD).
Powered Devices (PDs) and Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) are fully compatible with the IEEE 802.3af: 2003 standard.
PD signature detection and power monitoring are also included as part of the IEEE 802.3af standard. Additionally, the product includes Over-Current Protection, Under-Current Detection and Fault Protection Input.
You can enable/disable many of the features of this model as well as use the force port capability.
Additionally, a loss of Fiber RX will disable the PSE power on the UTP port for 2 seconds, allowing the remote device to reinitialize, also known as Powering Device Reset.
With the PoE converter, devices that comply with the IEEE 802.3af standard are fully supported.
PoE converters are capable of inserting power over data pairs or spare pairs of MDIs.
