Cambium PTP 820s has a platform-level design that combines sophisticated networking functionality with cutting-edge microwave technologies to provide an excellent transport solution

The Cambium PTP 820S is a multi-faceted advanced microwave technologies transport platform.

This mid-range model retains many of the great features of the Cambium PTP 820 but can also act as a powerful communications hub.

In addition to supporting licensed frequency bands ranging from 6 to 42 GHz, the Cambium Microwave PTP 820 series provides a variety of configurations that can be tailored to meet a wide range of deployment scenarios.

PTP 820 series offers a choice of indoor, split-mount and outdoor configurations thanks to the high density of its multi-technology nodes and integrated radio units

Through the use of multiple input multiple output (MIMO) cambium networks technology with line of sight (LOS) and modulation up to 2048QAM, the CBG MIMO System ensures industry leading throughput and spectral efficiency.

Due to the unit's microwave backhaul platform dual function capability, the PTP 820C can support up to 2Gbps of bandwidth via software upgrades, eliminating the need for forklift upgrades or major network operator upgrades to get gigabit performance .

Also included are synchronization protocols such as Synchronous Ethernet (SyncE) and IEEEv2

These protocols are required for use in large MPLS and ISP networks.

Operators can simplify network provisioning and monitoring through Operations, Administration, and Maintenance (OA&M) tools and a stable of network and element management systems (NMS and EMS), reducing their total cost of ownership and allowing them to meet the most stringent service level agreements.
